Some of the questions I get asked nearly every day are:

What should I eat?

Can’t you just give me a simple plan so I know exactly what I should be eating?

Low fat, low carb, low calorie, vegetarian, raw… how do I know what is right for me?

In their quest for answers to these questions, I’ve found that a lot of folks will head to the nearest bookstore to look for the solution there.

My advice – whatever you do, avoid the diet section of the bookstore!

I think the most confusing part of any bookstore is the diet section. I can see why I am constantly getting asked these questions.

The bottom line is, what you should eat, how much you should eat and when you should eat are all based on science. The right diet for you can help you burn off fat, build muscle and have steady energy all day long. The wrong diet, well… I think we are seeing the results of that everywhere.

The wrong diet can cause you to store fat around your waist, make you crave the very foods you are trying to avoid, send your energy on a wild rollercoaster ride and cause you to age faster.

Diets can undermine your metabolism and your psyche!

Worse yet, when you go on one of these diets that doesn’t work with your biochemistry, it not only undermines your metabolism, it also undermines your psyche, making you feel like a failure, when in fact you didn’t fail - the plan failed you.

Any plan that doesn’t take your likes & dislikes, lifestyle and unique biochemistry into account is destined to fail. More importantly, the program must be one that you can work into your daily life so that it becomes habitual.
